Empowerment Workshops
Reaching Goals
Many of us have wish lists of personal and professional goals we want to accomplish that are currently collecting dust. And if you are neurodivergent like me (I prefer “neurosparkly”), you probably have lists on lists on lists, so now you’re just really overwhelmed and don’t know where to start. When it comes down to it, the only thing that matters is taking ANY action, no matter how big or small.
So, I have developed some workshops that are designed for you to take a pause, reevaluate, and determine your best next steps. However, signing up for a workshop is already taking action and you will be ahead of the game!
I offer these workshops at various points in the year, but if you see one you are interested in, but do not see an upcoming date for it, please email Jordan at jsb@staygoldenjaclyn.com (aka my husband) and he can give you a better guesstimate. Additionally, if you are interested in the facilitation of one of these workshops for your team or employees, Jordan is your man too and you can inquire using the same email address above!

Unfuck Your Filter
So many of us unknowingly have a filter in our heads that can affect the way we view ourselves. Just like a photo editing app, there are some filters that can totally darken and distort an image. And just like all photo editing apps, there’s gotta be other filters available that can brighten and enhance your self image. We’re gonna find them!
This multi-part workshop focuses on identifying your negative core beliefs, why those beliefs may affect the filter in which you see the world, and how to unfuck that filter. This is for people who have gone through some level of talk therapy and feel comfortable discussing their childhood, as so much of our “filters” have come from that time of our lives.

Finding Your Purpose: Empowering You to Choose Your Own Path
Advocacy can be emotionally draining, but very rewarding work. There are a multitude of causes and issues that have special places in our hearts. For many family members, friends, and allies, we want to speak up and advocate for ourselves and our loved ones, but do not know where to start.
This workshop goes over the basics of what advocacy is, what to consider before becoming an advocate, and examples of what advocacy can look like. This is for anyone who wants to dip their tootsies in the advocacy pond just to see what it feels like (spoiler: it’ll feel super empowering once you fully dive in).

The Main Character Energy Audit
We have had a string of “unprecedented” events in the last decade that have really affected us. It has been to the point where some of us have really had to take a step back from our lives and truly reevaluate what is important to us.
This workshop guides you through a values exercise to help you recalibrate. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to identify your top ten (10) values, how they relate to each other, and ideally, have better perspective on how to align your life according to your values.
There is an optional follow up workshop, Examining Your Character Arc: Authoring Your Origin Story, for those of you who want to take it to the next level and tell your story, centered around one of your values.

Examining Your Character Arc: Authoring Your Origin Story
We have all heard of the term “elevator pitch”: the hypothetical one minute window where you might get into an elevator with a really rich person who says, “Tell me your story by the time we get to the 10th floor and maybe money will fall out of my pocket for your ideas.” By the time you reach the 10th floor, hypothetically, you succinctly did your pitch and he is now Venmo-ing you with a $100,000 investment.
This workshop addresses real situations where you will need to tell your story, but you have more than a minute. You could be telling your origin story for different reasons: giving testimony in favor or against a bill, pitching a potential sponsor for your event, or even just telling your story in an unfamiliar place. We will take the values we discovered in The Main Character Energy Audit and use that as the foundation for authoring your origin story.

Unpacking Your Mental Griefcase: Examining the Weight You Carry
We often encounter experiences or events on a daily basis at our jobs, at school, or elsewhere outside of the home that can affect us to the point where we unknowingly take some of it home emotionally. However, we often don’t take enough time to pause and see what we are really carrying around with us in our “griefcases.”
This workshop creates a safe space for us to sit with grief: what is it? What does it look like? What am I grieving that I didn’t realize I was grieving? What am I carrying in my griefcase? Do I need to carry this everywhere or could I check some of this and have someone else help me with it? The goal is to have a better awareness and understanding of the role grief can play in our lives and guidance on when to ask for help to carry it.

It’s Boundaries, Bitch!
The term “boundaries” gets thrown around often, but when you ask someone to clarify what a boundary is, it’s typically some version of “telling someone not to do something or that you can’t do something.” While this is partially true, the guidance beyond that is usually very vague and involves blocking someone online.
This workshop focuses on every aspect of boundaries: defining what they are, what types of boundary categories there are, what those boundaries can look like, and real life examples of boundaries and how they were used in specific situations. This workshop is great for anyone who struggles with boundaries and is finally at a point where they are now needed to preserve your peace.
